Hello!! I hope you're doing well and staying safe during these crazy times. I wrote this because people are asking me about consulting and I figured I should consolidate all my experiences into one.

I have a lot of people to thank along the way - people who spent time talking to me, casing me, and teaching me everything I know today.

  1. To contextualize, I recruited for Consulting at Penn in Fall 2019, and I will be going to McKinsey (Boston Office). I also received offers from Bain and Mastercard. Everything below is solely based on my own experience and might not apply to every school and year! If things changes, I'll be quite interested to know as well :)
  2. This is not a guide for "Why should you join consulting". It is meant to answer "How should I prepare for recruiting" after you decide consulting is for you. If you want to know more about what consultants do, I have some resources in the guide too!
